As a primer for our Tuesday screening of The Exorcist III: Legion, we are showing the Director's Cut of the original film for those who haven't seen it or would like to refresh their memories.
This cut, subtitled "The Version You've Never Seen" was released in theatres in 2000, and features additional scenes that had been removed from the original, including an extended final scene between the two characters who would return in The Exorcist III.
The Exorcist was nominated for ten Academy Awards (including Best Picture), and won for its innovative Sound Design as well as the screenplay William Peter Blatty adapted from his own novel.
Film runs approximately 130 minutes.
